Next Gen Ministry is all about students and families from Middle School through College/Young Adult.
“I believe that right now, this day the NextGen students of today have significant value in the local church, in the community and in the world, therefore the NextGen ministry exists in order to lead students to the transforming power of the Gospel and into an authentic relationship with Christ. The NextGen ministry exists to build up students in their relationship with Christ and to work toward the future developing students today to be the leaders of tomorrow.
The Next Gen ministry is a total umbrella if you will, that covers Middle School students through High School all the way to College and Young Adults. The ministry is designed specifically with Pastors for each group that cares for their students and meets weekly together (the Next Gen Team) in order to have all three ministries (Middle School, High School and College/Young Adults) working together. All 3 ministries work as one, under the Next Gen umbrella to produce a total Next Gen ministry not only for 3 years (Middle School) or 4 years (High School) or 4-7 years (College/Young Adult), but together as a team to effectively build a ministry that develops students and families for over 12 years.
My deep burden, concern and love for the NextGen comes from my experience as a student growing up in a great church in a suburb of Chicago, from being involved with students for over 20 years and from seeing and being part of my own two sons lives, as I watched and participated in the difficult, challenging and rewarding time called adolescence. I know firsthand the value of the local church and the need for an effective ministry for students and their families.”
It is my desire to see to it that the NextGen ministry develops students with their families in their relationship with God, and to have a place they can call home, the local church. The time is now!
